During my phone consult, I informed Allan that I had secured a place in the London Marathon, which I’d been waiting 3 years to run it! The catch, we had less than 5 months to get there. How I was going to run 42km when I couldn’t even run for the bus, I had no idea. But the thought of never being able to run again scared me more.
Every session was a stepping-stone towards race day, we built layer upon layer. All aspects, which impacted on being able to move, were addressed, Allan has all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle and it comes together uniquely. But what Allan does awesomely is provide context and understanding; everything has a purpose for why you are doing it. The sessions are so inspiring.

Training with Allan has been one of the best journeys I have experienced, he enabled me to get my body back and fulfil my dream of running the London Marathon. It has been an amazing time.I've been training with Allan for about 2 years and I hate to think where I'd be now if I never tried TAYP. I'm very active nearly 50, running a swim school (which I intend to keep doing for another 20 years at least!) Pilates and Spin I thought would get me there but I started to get injuries that just wouldn't go away. Shoulder pain, lower back pain, neck pain, getting up in the morning I'd never know what to expect... I'd go see my Physio and get massages but doing a bit of research I realised I needed to up my game with movement and decided to give TAYP a go. I loved it! It wasn't just mindless reps but engaging and stimulating movement exercises. I didn't realise how much fun it would be and educational. I now know what to do when I get up in the morning to warm my body up, what to do if I feel some tightness and if I do get pain how to self massage it away! I'm more flexible than I was 20 years ago, know my body well and love learning more that I can even help my family & friends with. Yes it takes discipline to do daily movement but to be honest it is so motivating when seeing the results that it has given me. I'm so greatful to Allan and can't recommend TAYP enough. These injuries resulted from years of unsupervised training in the gym. In 2019, I had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery, and I stopped exercising. This hiatus impacted both my physical health and mental well-being. I discovered Alan on Instagram. As I observed the group program, I was struck by the evident progress of his clients, I also like his concept of small group, offering a more focused approach. The next day I book a call with Alan. After my first day of training, I told my husband that I have never experienced a program quite like what TAYP offers. This program transformed my life. The designed exercises focused not only on strengthening but also on enhancing my balance and mobility. Within weeks, the dizziness from vertigo began to fade, my wrists strengthened, and my lower back pain started to diminish. And just week into the program, I was able to bend forward without any pain and touch my toes for the very first time!!!! Today its been more than eight months pain and dizziness free. I stand stronger and more balanced, both physically and mentally. Program has been a game-changer for me, offering a holistic approach to healing and wellness. I drilled doctors why I shouldnt move around and do not any lift weights, the same blanket feedback was received about potential complications post fracture or surgery. - When I retired, I decided it was time to properly tackle my poor posture, knee & hip pain. I found Allan at TAYP was patient, professional and listened to my health concerns. Over 6 months I made many improvements and my pain settled down. Unfortunately, I recently suffered a broken arm after a fall. But, both pre & post operatively, with increased rotational ability and strength, getting in and out of bed and the car was noticeably easier. The most frustrating aspect of my pain was that any exercise seemed to exacerbate it. As a result, I started avoiding all exercise, even walking. I saw many different kinds of therapists for help. I did make some progress with some of these health professionals. However, my problem with avoiding exercise persisted, as I was never able to exercise confidently without pain. I also became anxious about exercise as a result, and my avoidance grew. Allan was very different to all the other people that I had seen. He recognised the many layers to my difficulties, in particular the emotional component that had set in for me. After working with Allan, I had a repertoir of movement tools, with a comprehensive program that I now follow at home. I also had techniques and tools to manage the psychological component that had set in. As a result, I was able to shift my old and unhelpful patterns and replace them with a new approach to managing pain/avoidance. My goal on starting with Allan was to be able to do any exercise I wanted (running, gym, yoga, etc) without having to abandon it due to pain. I have absolutely achieved this goal. I now can attend several fitness classes during the week (pilates, gym, yoga), and I walk and run. I also know that if I do have pain, I have the knowledge to manage it effectively myself, and it quickly resolves. I highly recommend TAYP to anyone hesitant exercising due to pain. Book a call and Alan will Train Away Your Pain. Thank you Alan 🐢 (I can't find a sexy turtle emoji 😂🤣)
- Iv been training with Allan now for 6 weeks now and i am blown away by the results. Iv been a high skilled swimmer/fitness fanatic my whole life and the last few years iv have gained a list of injurys that often leave me in crippling pain and have affected not just my swimming/training but my whole life. Allan has taken me through some self massage techniques and exercises to help my individual injury's but also the group sessions have helped me gain the confidence and strength to get back very quickly to a base level i can start to build back up safely and with so much more awareness around how I'm moving. Getting back to swimming regularly and I'm feeling more powerful and connected to my body and how its moving in the water and just in general day to day as well! I cant wait to see how much more improvement i get in 6 months!! Allen is a patient and incredibly knowledgeable with the ability to make it all easy to understand what I'm doing and why. All the time iv spent with chiro/physios etc have never given me such quick pain relief and results as Allan has.read moreread lessGemma Taylor×Gemma TaylorIv been training with Allan now for 6 weeks now and i am blown away by the results. His philosophy and movement exercise is a bit different, well I havent seen anything like this His program helped me and still helping me to navigate through challenges. Examples; physical injuries, and medical challenges. I still remember when I broke my foot , my GP was saying cannot put any weight for at least half of year and cannot move I actually started program witn Alan with Robocop cast and was out and about the cast within 1,5 months and back to normal exercise within 3 months. Not bad recovery, now only distant memory. The same apply to recovery after hernia surgery, again doctors sad no lifting 6 months. Obviously I was not training to be heave weight lifting champion, but was able to lift within limits and post surgery recoverty time was much more faster again!!! I drilled doctors why I shouldnt move around and do not any lift weights, the same blanket feedback was received about potential complications post fracture or surgery. If I followed instructions strictly it would of taken me much more longer time to recover and more pain. Obviously everyone is different ,but I am glad I did followed Alan's explanation and recovery program!read moreread lessDmitri “Erel” Egorov×Dmitri “Erel” EgorovI know Alan for sometime now and watch him to grow from Personal Trainer at GYM's to move on and open his own thing!!! Back in the gym, TAYP is now a part of my rehab strategy. Best of all, I have a set of simple pain management strategies I can use anytime if I need.
